Women's and Perinatal Pathology Fellowship

Advanced training in gynecologic, obstetrical and perinatal pathology is offered in the Women's and Perinatal Division. Included in the one- to two-year program is intensive training in the pathology of benign and malignant gynecologic disorders, trophoblastic neoplasia, teratology, obstetrical complications, and placental diseases.

Fellows are expected to participate in clinical or basic research and teaching.

The division accessions 15,000 surgical specimens and 100 perinatal autopsies annually; 400 new cases of malignancies of the female reproductive organs are diagnosed each year.

Consultation is readily available from experts in all subspecialties in pathology. Facilities are modern, and support services are of excellent quality.
