Complex Medical Dermatology Fellowship Program

The focus of this fellowship to develop academic dermatologists who are able to care for the sickest patients with dermatologic diseases. The fellow will receive specialized training in inpatient consultation, management of dermatologic adverse events from cancer therapeutics, graft-versus host disease, infectious diseases in dermatology, bullous diseases, and complex wound care. Fellows will have additional opportunities for training in cutaneous oncology, rheumatologic-dermatology, photomedicine and other subspecialties according to the fellow's interests. Contact Dermatitis and Occupational Dermatology Fellowship

The focus of this fellowship is to develop academic dermatologists who will become leaders in the field of contact dermatitis. The fellow will learn how to diagnose and manage patients with all forms of contact dermatitis, including irritant, allergic and occupational dermatitis. They will develop expertise in deciding which allergen series to test, learn how to interpret patch test results based on each patient’s history and physical exam, and will gain experience designing avoidance strategies giving the greatest chance of curing patients of longstanding dermatitis. Fellows will have additional opportunities to rotate in the Allergy/Immunology department, Occupational Medicine clinic, T cell research laboratory, Dermatopathology department, Oral Medicine, genital dermatology, phototherapy and complex medical dermatology clinics. Cutaneous Oncology Fellowship

The fellow will develop expertise in the diagnosis and management of a wide range of cutaneous malignancies including melanoma, cutaneous lymphomas, Merkel cell carcinoma, and high-risk basal and squamous cell cancers. The program will include the full spectrum of clinical management, from clinical diagnosis to histopathological confirmation and surgery and chemotherapeutic treatments. A multi-disciplinary approach will be utilized, and the fellow will work closely with dermatologists, dermatopathologists, medical oncologists, and surgical oncologists. Dermatology/Rheumatology

The fellow will develop expertise in the diagnosis and management of a wide range of connective tissue diseases, including cutaneous lupus, dermatomyositis, scleroderma, psoriasis, and vasculitis. The program will include the full spectrum of clinical management, from learning unique physical exam skills to aid in clinical diagnosis to gaining familiarity with systemic therapeutics. A multi-disciplinary approach will be utilized, and the fellow will work closely with both dermatologists and rheumatologists. The fellow’s career development will be a primary goal of the year-long fellowship. Micrographic Surgery and Dermatologic Oncology

This is a unique ACGME-accredited 2 year fellowship during which fellows have the option of completing an MPH degree in the Harvard School of Public Health while simultaneously completing their procedural Dermatology Fellowship requirements with protected time for research. It is expected that graduates will have the training needed to become academic leaders in cutaneous oncologic clinical and translational research.
