The purpose of the simulator is to accurately replicate real life clinical scenarios and to provide participants hands-on experience in without compromising the safety of an actual patient. Case-based simulations are applicable to a wide variety of disciplines including anesthesiology,surgery,obstetrics and gynecology, critical care, trauma and emergency medicine, to name a few .
The patient simulator provides an interactive learning environment that allows the participant the opportunity to explore and develop critical thinking and problem solving skills and, gain experience in recognizing a variety of clinical presentations, Additionally the participant is afforded the opportunity to refine technique and procedures, and to experience relatively rare medical cases as well as applying practical skills to real world scenarios.
