Comprehensive and innovative bone and joint care continues to be the foundation of the Center. Nearly a century ago, the Robert Breck Brigham Hospital, one of our founding hospitals, became the first teaching hospital in the country wholly devoted to arthritis and related diseases. Since that time, the Orthopedic and Arthritis Center has built upon this history to establish one of the most highly regarded orthopedic and joint disease research and treatment programs in the world.
