Looking to lose 20 pounds or more? Does a physician-supervised weight loss plan appeal to you? Our patients benefit from weekly individual and group sessions lead by our team of expert physicians and dietitians - all focused on improving your overall health by achieving and maintaining a healthy weight.

Overweight and obesity are affecting a greater number of Americans than ever before. Being overweight or obese increases the risk of diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease, joint pain, heartburn and sleep disorders. Being overweight or obese can also have painful social and emotional consequences that seriously affect day-to-day life. We recognize that being overweight or obese is truly a disease, which has many causes that are beyond a patient's control. At Brigham and Women's Hospital, we understand these issues and draw on our experience and compassion to create a plan that is suited to meet each person's needs. We invite you to learn more about our program.

The Program for Weight Management (PWM) is a personalized, medically monitored weight loss program for anyone interested in losing weight safely and effectively. An experienced team of board-certified physicians and registered dietitians lead the PWM. All of our team members specialize in the treatment of overweight individuals. Our program works to help you develop healthy habits that last a lifetime! We offer a wide range of weight loss and weight maintenance approaches that can be personalized to meet your individual needs. With support from weekly group sessions and individual meetings with a registered dietitian and exercise guidance through Bodyscapes, you can receive all of the help you need to be successful. You can choose from any of our weight loss options (subject to medical approval). All options are tailored to meet your individual needs.
