Stephen J. Drewniak, MD

Chief of Gastroenterology, Lemuel Shattuck Hospital

Dr. Drewniak joined the Gastroenterology Division at the Faulkner in 1984, having graduated from the hospital’s GI fellowship program. He was named Chief of Gastroenterology at the Lemuel Shattuck Hospital in 1996.  Under his direction, the Shattuck has been a very popular rotation for the GI fellows, offering extensive experience in the evaluation and treatment of GI complications of AIDS and chronic viral hepatitis.  In conjunction with the infectious disease service at the LSH, Dr. Drewniak has also established a clinic and protocol for treatment of patients co-infected with HCV and HIV.
