Hematology Clinical Trials

In addition to providing the highest quality of clinical care, a primary mission of the Hematology Division at Brigham and Women’s Hospital is to conduct high quality clinical research pertaining to a wide variety of hematological conditions. Many of our physicians are engaged in clinical research on a number of benign and malignant hematological disorders, including investigations in sickle cell disease, disorders of thrombosis and hemostasis, anemia in the elderly, and myelodysplastic syndromes. General information explaining the importance of clinical trials may be found at this clinical trials link.

Future clinical research efforts will focus on cultivating a number of high-impact clinical studies in diseases for which our faculty have particular expertise.

The division's increased patient-related and clinical research activities have been facilitated by the addition of new faculty.
