Elizabeth Henske, MD
Director, Center for LAM Research and Clinical Care
Elizabeth (Lisa) Petri Henske, MD is a medical oncologist and the Director of the Center for LAM Research and Clinical Care. She has done laboratory-based LAM research for the past decade, using a broad range of approaches, including genetic analyses, cell-based and biochemical assays, and mouse, fly, and yeast models.
Dr. Henske graduated summa cum laude from Yale University, attended Harvard Medical School, and was trained in Internal Medicine and Hematology-Oncology at the Massachusetts General Hospital, followed by postdoctoral training at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital. Her honors include election to the American Society for Clinical Investigation, the Scientific Advancement Award from The LAM Foundation (2000), the Manuel Gomez Award from the Tuberous Sclerosis Alliance for “extraordinary scientific and humanitarian efforts to find a cure for Tuberous Sclerosis” (2005), and the Medtronic Prize from the Society for Women’s Health Research (2007) for “an outstanding scientist whose work has led or will lead directly to the improvement of women’s health.”
Hilary Goldberg, MD
Pulmonologist
Dr. Goldberg is a pulmonologist in the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine in the Department of Medicine at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. Dr Goldberg will review all of your testing, consultations, and medical history as well as perform a comprehensive physical exam to provide an individualized care and treatment plan. She and Dr. Rosas will be the primary physicians in the management of your disease. Dr. Goldberg is also involved with the care of the Brigham and Women’s Hospital lung transplant population in both the inpatient and outpatient settings and is highly experienced in the management of the pulmonary and pleural manifestations of LAM.
Ivan O. Rosas, MD
Pulmonologist
Dr. Rosas is a pulmonologist in the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine. Dr. Rosas completed a Clinical Research Fellowship in the Division of Intramural Research (DIR) at the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI), during which time he actively cared for patients enrolled in the NHLBI LAM Natural History Study Protocol, hence developing vast experience in the management of the pulmonary and pleural manifestations of LAM. Dr. Rosas' translational research efforts have focused on identifying novel molecular targets for diagnosis and treatment of human interstitial lung diseases. Dr. Rosas is one of the primary physicians responsible for hte dat-to-day management of LAM patients.

Erin Danielle Morse, MD

Gary M. Hunninghake, MD

Dr. Hunninghake is a pulmonary physician and researcher who specializes in interstitial lung diseases.
Souheil El-Chemaly, MD
Pulmonologist
Dr. El-Chemaly is a pulmonary physician with clinical and research interest in interstitial lung diseases, particularly LAM and idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF). Dr. El-Chemaly's research focuses on translational and basic approaches to the study of the role and function of lymphangiogenesis and its growth factors in lung diseases.
Betsy Peters, BSN, RN
LAM Research and Clinical Coordinator
Betsy is responsible for all patient logistics. She coordinates care throughout each visit a patient makes to the Center and is available to assist patients with questions related to symptoms, medical concerns, testing, and scheduling. Betsy is also the Center's Research Coordinator, helping guide patients who opt to participate in our clinical trials. Phillip Camp, MD
Director, Lung Transplant Program
Thoracic Surgeon
Dr. Camp is the Director of the Lung Transplantation Program at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and a member of the Division of Thoracic Surgery in the Department of Surgery. He also participates as a member of the critical care staff for the Thoracic Intensive Care Unit.
You will meet with Dr. Camp, if necessary, at the time of your initial evaluation at the LAM Center. He will discuss the aspects of pleural manifestations of LAM and provide his expertise in the management of these complications, should they occur. Depending on the severity of your disease, Dr. Camp may also provide evaluation for lung transplantation, as appropriate.
