The Brigham and Women’s Sleep Disorders Service is the only American Academy of Sleep Medicine designated Comprehensive Academic Sleep Program of Distinction in New England for adult patients with sleep disorders.
The Brigham and Women’s Sleep Disorders Service provides diagnostic and treatment services for patients with sleep-wake disorders at two convenient clinic locations: one at the Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospital and another at South Shore Hospital. We specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of 90 known sleep disorders, including: Obstructive Sleep Apnea, Insomnia, Narcolepsy, Restless Leg Syndrome, and other sleep disorders. We provide diagnostic Home Sleep Tests and In-lab Sleep Tests, treatment with CPAP, dental appliances, individual behavioral therapy and support groups.
The Brigham and Women’s Sleep Disorders Service also has two specialty programs. One has doctors with special expertise in the many Neurologic Complications of Sleep including: movement disorders, behavioral disturbances, epilepsy/seizure and stroke.
As many patients with heart disease and diabetes also have obstructive sleep apnea, the second specialty clinic, called the Healthy Sleep/Healthy Heart Clinic, has a multi-disciplinary team of sleep specialists, cardiologists, health educators and respiratory therapists who work together to provide state-of-the-art diagnostic and long-term care for patients with heart disease or diabetes and a sleep disorder..
