
Zahir Kanjee earned his AB in Public and International Affairs from Princeton University in 2006 and his MD from Yale University in 2011. During college, he interned with the Treatment Action Campaign and Médecins Sans Frontières in South Africa. He was also involved in AIDS activism and conducted research on access to essential medicines and South African TB and HIV policy. During medical school he led initiatives to expand global health training for Yale health professional students and researched TB infection control in resource-limited settings. As a Global Health Equity resident, he hopes to develop his clinical and analytical skills to be a more effective global health physician, activist and researcher.
