Narath Carlile, MD

Narath Carlile, MD earned his BS from York University in 1994 and his MD from Dartmouth Medical School in 2009. While in medical school, Dr. Carlile founded a hand hygiene initiative to reduce hospital-acquired infections at Muhimbili National Hospital (MNH) in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. He also spearheaded a new hospital paging system utilizing cell phone text messaging and a web browser. He has worked in Pakistan as Director of the East Asia Division for an educational software company, where he collaborated with the Minister of Science and Technology. As a Schweitzer Fellow, he partnered with a local family practice to improve preventative and chronic care for patients by developing a quality improvement dashboard for their practice.
