It takes a village to raise a child — especially if you are preparing to welcome twins, triples or more into the world. That's why at the Brigham's Comprehensive Care Center for Multiples, we surround you and your family with a multidisciplinary team of experts who deliver a full range of services.

Parents expecting multiples often have concerns and challenges that other parents do not. The compassionate staff at the Center for Multiples will be there for you and your family throughout pregnancy and after your babies are born to provide support, education and highly personalized care.

  • Holistic Pregnancy Care: We take a holistic approach to caring for you, your family and your unborn babies that encompasses body, mind and spirit.
  • Prenatal Care: We offer prenatal screening and diagnosis, including ultrasounds, to monitor the progress of your multiple pregnancy and identify and address any possible complications.
  • Genetic Counseling: All our patients meet with a genetic counselor who provides comprehensive assessment and counseling services during and after pregnancy.
  • Nutrition: All our patients meet with a nutritionist who specializes in working with women expecting multiples and will guide you on meeting your nutritional goals.
  • Complications: Our maternal-fetal specialists provide expert, multidisciplinary care to manage any pregnancy or fetal complications that may affect you and/or your babies.
  • Lactation: Our team, including a dedicated lactation consultant, provides expert lactation support and education throughout your pregnancy and after delivery.
  • Delivery: The Brigham delivers more than 200 sets of twins, triplets and higher-order multiples each year, making us one of New England's most experienced centers.
  • Newborn Care: If your babies are born early or experience challenges after birth, our Level III Newborn Intensive Care Unit (NICU) is prepared to help. As the largest and most advanced in New England, our NICU cares for about 1,000 newborns a year.
  • Life at Home: We help you prepare for the challenges of life at home with multiple newborns and are available to assist in various ways following your discharge.
