Support Our Work at the African Women’s Health Center

The African Women’s Health Center at Brigham and Women’s Hospital (BWH) provides a variety of services to meet the diverse healthcare needs of African immigrants and refugees. Services focus on women who have undergone female genital cutting (FGC), female circumcision, or female genital mutilation. Our Center is the first and only African health practice in the United States that focuses on issues regarding female genital cutting. We offer many tools—clinical, psycho-social, and education—to help our patients before, during, and after their treatment at BWH.
