World Class Surgical Services. Collaborative Patient Care.
Welcome to the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. Our orthopaedic care is delivered with the expertise, innovation and commitment that you would expect from a program – and a hospital – that consistently has been ranked as one of America’s best by U.S. News & World Report®. A staff of nearly 40 physicians at multiple locations in the greater Boston area provides patients with expert, comprehensive, and compassionate care. In addition to the Department having a strong commitment to state-of-the-art patient care as a priority, the Orthopaedic faculty are also engaged in innovative clinical and basic science research in order to advance clinical care and ultimately help future patients. The Department of Orthopaedic Surgery is also dedicated to training future physicians in musculoskeletal care by being an integral part of the Harvard Combined Orthopaedic Residency Training Program (which consists of 60 residents in training) as well as providing advanced fellowship training in all of the orthopaedic subspecialties. Our Department collaborates closely with Rheumatology, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, and Neurosciences as well as other departments at Brigham and Women’s Hospital to deliver the highest quality patient care for those afflicted with a spectrum of musculoskeletal disorders.
