Meghan graduated from the University of Connecticut with a B.S. in Nutritional Sciences. She completed her dietetic internship at New York-Presbyterian Hospital in New York, NY and is a Certified Diabetes Educator. Prior to joining our bariatric program, she worked for four years at the Weight and Wellness Center, at Tufts Medical Center in Boston, MA. Meghan has been involved in the Massachusetts Dietetic Association and the Weight Management Dietetic Practice Group with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. For the past four years, Meghan has been a speaker at the Bariatric Summit, discussing a variety of topics related to nutrition care after weight loss surgery.
Dr. Davidson obtained a B.A. in Psychology from Brandeis University and earned his PhD at Brigham Young University. His dissertation and much of his clinical work focused on eating disorders. He completed an adult internship and child/adolescent fellowship at the Cambridge Hospital/Harvard Medical School. For many years he was a clinician, educator, and clinical supervisor with both inpatient and outpatient psychiatric services. After a decade as the director of clinical departments and a mental health center, he returned to primary clinical work in the bariatric field. Prior to coming to CMBS, he served as the Behavioral Director for the Weight and Wellness Center at Tufts Medical Center, where he was an Assistant Clinical Professor. He is a member of the American Society of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery, and serves as an Integrated Health committee member. Dr. Davidson is an Instructor in Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School, has spoken nationally about bariatric topics, heads the behavioral section of the Bariatric Summit, and is a reviewer for the Obesity Surgery journal. He is passionate about his commitment to his patients, integrative care, and advancing behavioral medicine research.
Allison graduated from University of Illinois with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. She worked for two years as a certified nursing assistant in a skilled nursing facility and at an obstetric/gynecology outpatient clinic before attending graduate school. She completed her Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies at Rosalind Franklin University in Chicago, IL. In her free time, Allison enjoys exploring the city of Boston, golfing with her friends and family and traveling.
Kellene has been the Bariatric Program Manager since 2009. She completed her Dietetic Internship at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center in Boston, MA and received her certificate of training in Adult Weight Management in 2010. Kellene is a nationally recognized speaker in bariatric surgery nutrition and has multiple publications in the field of bariatric surgery. She has given presentations for the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics FNCE, Obesity Week, the Bariatric Summit, and other national and local conferences on bariatric nutrition and bariatric programming. Kellene has held multiple roles on the Executive Committee for the Weight Management Dietetic Practice Group (WM DPG), where she is currently the Network Director. She is involved in the Academy’s workgroup for the Bariatric Surgery Evidence Analysis Library and is part of the ASMBS IH committee writing the ASMBS Nutrition Guidelines Update. She is an associate editor for the Journal of Obesity Surgery and the co-editor of the 2nd edition of the 2014 Academy’s Pocket Guide to Bariatric Surgery. She is an Adjunct Nutrition Professor for the Bouvé College of Health Sciences at Northeastern University and recently started her doctoral degree. Yali graduated from Peking University Health Science Center (formerly Beijing Medical University) with a Bachelor degree in Medicine. She worked at medical research labs in California and St. Louis before attending a Physician Assistant program. She completed her Master of Medicine Science at St. Louis University. Prior to joining our program, she worked as a surgical physician assistant at Yale New Haven Hospital and MetroWest Medical Center. In her free time, Yali enjoys cooking, reading, music, and chatting with her friends and family.
Katy graduated from the University of Rhode Island with a B.S. in Nutrition and Dietetics. She earned a Master of Science degree in Nutrition from Tufts University Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy and completed her dietetic internship at Tufts Medical Center in Boston, MA. Katy has obtained the Level 1 and Level 2 Certificates of Training in Adult Weight Management through the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. She holds volunteer positions with the Weight Management Dietetic Practice Group and the Massachusetts Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. Katy also serves on the Editorial Board for Obesity Surgery, a peer-reviewed medical journal. Katy has been a speaker at the Bariatric Summit, the New England Bariatric Dietitian Conference, and the Massachusetts Annual Nutrition Conference and Expo. Melissa has been a dietitian since 2008 and has spent the majority of her career in the bariatric world. Before moving to Boston, she was a bariatric dietitian for Sinai Hospital in Baltimore, MD, and most recently, she worked for a bariatric vitamin company. Melissa is an Illinois native and studied Dietetics and Hospitality Management at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign where she also ran track and cross country. She completed her dietetic internship with the Sodexo Mid-Atlantic program in Baltimore, MD, and went on to complete her Master’s Degree in Applied Nutrition with Northeastern University. Melissa also holds a certificate in Adult Weight Management through the Academy of Nutrition and is a Certified Personal Trainer. Melissa has served as the editor for the Maryland Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics’ newsletter and is currently a reviewer for the Weight Management Dietetic Practice Group’s newsletter. Melissa enjoys spending time with her two kiddos and husband.
Rob graduated from Northeastern University with a Bachelor’s degree in Biology. He worked for a year as a certified nursing assistant following completion of an undergraduate degree at Tufts Medical Center. He completed his graduate degree at MCPHS University in Physician Assistant Studies. When he is not working, he enjoys outdoor activities, including fishing, hiking, and kayaking.
Nicole obtained a Bachelor of Science from Rutgers University and earned her Master of Science and Physician Assistant degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. She also works in Vascular Surgery. She teaches at several of the Physician Assistant programs in the Boston area. In addition to this she serves on the Board of Registration for Physician Assistants.
