Our team has performed over 1,000 weight loss operations and is supported by a professional staff of dietitians, physician assistants, and nurses who specialize in caring for the weight loss surgery patient. All of our surgeons are certified by the American Board of Surgery and are respected faculty members of Harvard Medical School.

Our surgeons perform weight loss surgery at both locations and you may attend an information session at either Brigham and Women's Hospital or Faulkner Hospital.
Weight Loss Surgery is appropriate for patients who are 100 pounds or more overweight and have been unsuccessful with other attempts at weight loss. For appropriate patients, weight loss surgery is a safe and effective treatment for losing weight.
Patients choosing weight loss surgery will:
- Meet with a surgeon for a consultation as well as a registered dietitian and psychologist
- Upon surgical clearance undergo stomach surgery to reduce the size of the stomach that will reduce food consumption
- Receive routine medical monitoring from the surgeon and a registered dietitian
