The Fish Center has outstanding physicians who, in addition to being on staff at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, are also members of the faculty at Harvard Medical School. The staff includes Physician Assistants, nurses, medical assistants, and administrative staff who will coordinate your healthcare needs from the time of your initial visit through your follow-up care. The center also offers a variety of specialty programs that consider all aspects of health throughout the life span.
The goal of the Fish Center is to provide high quality, integrated clinical services and education based on leading-edge research on women’s health and gender-specific care. The practice supports particular areas of health where the risk and prevalence of disease in women is of particular importance, and those areas in which women have been traditionally under-diagnosed, under-treated, or underserved. The Fish Center has grown from fourteen physicians in July 2005 to forty-six physicians today encompassing primary care and twelve specialties - cardiology; gynecology, including urogynecology; endocrinology, including diabetes and osteoporosis; gastroenterology; rheumatology; neurology; dermatology; mental health; renal medicine; orthopedics; and nutrition.
