Employee Referral Program
Brigham and Women’s Hospital is always looking for great people, and you can help. Research has shown, and our experience supports this, new hires that join a company by way of an employee referral become excellent contributors, stay with an organization longer and are more cost effective recruits.
That's where you come in! We are looking for your help with the following professional groups:
- Medical Technologists
- Medical Technicians (MLT’s, CLT’s)
- Phlebotomists
- Cytogenetics Techs
- Pathology Techs
- Lab Control Techs
- Histology Techs
- Donor Program Techs
- EM Tech
- Clinical Supervisors/Technical Directors
How the Referral Program Works:
Please refer candidates who meet position qualifications for the positions listed above to Human Resources by using the attached Candidate Referral Form. If your candidate is hired and they successfully complete their first 90 days of employment, you will be awarded up to $1000!*
*individual departments have different bonus amounts. Pathology is currently offering a bonus of $500. Please speak with the individual recruiter for further information on this program.
Additional Drawing:
Your name will be placed for an additional drawing valued at $2,500 for each candidate that you refer that is hired and completes the 90 day initial orientation period. There will be four drawings: one for Nursing, one for PT, one for Pathology and one for Respiratory Therapists. The drawing date and time is TBD.
Program Rules and Referral Eligibility:
- All BWH employees, except director level and above, Human Resources personnel, and managers with hiring authority over the referred candidates, are eligible to refer candidates.
- The referral date is ongoing.
- The referral must represent the candidate's first contact with BWH. Temporary, summer, and contract staff are not eligible candidates for referral awards.
- To be eligible for an award, the referrals must first be submitted to Human Resources and must include a Candidate Referral Form and a resume or employment application.
- The referring employee must agree to have his/her name used for introduction.
- The first employee to refer a candidate will be the only referring employee eligible for payment.
- Only candidates who meet the essential qualifications for the position will be considered.
- All candidates will be evaluated for employment consistent with BWH’s policies and procedures.
- All information regarding the hiring decision will remain strictly confidential.
- The referring employee must still be employed by BWH at the time of payment.
- Any disputes or interpretations of the program will be handled through Human Resources.
- All referral bonus payments will be paid within 30 days after the referred employee's 90th day of successful employment at BWH.
