September 2008 Workforce Development Opportunities
Workforce Development offers several career development opportunities aimed at benefiting entry-level employees. Applicants participate in a formal assessment prior to beginning coursework. The next term begins in September 2008. For deadlines, please see the program description for the program you are interested in for more information.
Now Open for Enrollment:
- ESOL: Employees attend class one evening a week for 2 hours over 8 months.

The Math Bridge : In this class you will learn whole numbers and fractions, decimals and percents, signed numbers and rational, algebraic expressions, equations, inequalities and word problems

Loan Forgiveness/EFAP Program: Employees enrolled and matriculated into certain programs receive financial support up to $10K in an academic year.

Online Tutoring Service: Employees can access to live, online tutoring in a variety of subjects – accessible from home, school - wherever and whenever you need it!
Enrollment Coming Soon:
- Patient Care Assistant Training: Participants attend training 8 hours per week for 15 weeks.
- Passport to Advancement: Employee comprehensive training consisting administrative advancement track and a pre-college track. Class time varies depending on the track enrolled. Eight month program.
- Allied Health Initiative: Employees receive academic assessment and skill development resources, and career coaching/counseling.
