Hosting Summer Interns
The BWH Youth Summer Internship Program is a summer exploration program that introduces high school students to the world of work and the dynamic careers in health care. Students are carefully screened and selected to work in many different capacities at BWH. Your department could benefit from the time and enthusiasm of a summer intern. Hosting a student is also an important investment in the development of future health care workers.
Through the BWH Youth Summer Internship Program experience, students:
- Gain self-awareness of his/her talents and career interests
- Develop positive work habits that will promote his/her success in the future
- Learn new skills that can be brought back to the classroom
- Gain meaningful paid work experience
Through this program, BWH:
- Expands the hospital’s teaching mission
- Enhances the hospital’s diversity initiatives
