Charge Role Workshop

The Charge Role workshop is a four hour classroom session intended to provide foundational knowledge for competent nurses who are developmentally ready to assume the role of the Intermittent Charge Nurse on their unit.  Through slide presentation, role play, group discussion and practice exercises, nurses are introduced to the organizational, clinical and interpersonal roles that the Charge Nurse assumes on the unit.  The four hour classroom session is followed by a 24 hour precepted experience on the unit where the new charge nurse partners with the NIC or another senior nurse to experience how the Charge role is operationalized in the practice setting.

All classes are held at One Brigham Circle, 4th Floor.  Please register through Healthstream searching by course name or course date.
