The Robert and Ronnie Bretholtz Center for Patients and Families at Brigham and Women's Hospital is a comprehensive resource center dedicated to the need of our patients and families for support and information while receiving care at our hospital.
The Center is the realization of the vision of Robert Bretholtz - past chair of our board of trustees - for a place within our busy hospital where patients and their loved ones would find a friendly environment where staff and resources are available to answer their questions, provide support, and assist them in finding the services they need. The Center is a natural extension of the mission of Brigham and Women's Hospital to provide the best in patient care, education, and research to the communities we serve.
Opened in December of 2000, the Center is centrally located at the Main Lobby of the hospital. The Center houses a main reception area, a family liaison service, patient and family relations and the Michele and Howard Kessler Health Education Library.
Made possible through the generosity of the Kessler Family Foundation, the goal of our Health Education Library is to provide you with up-to-date resources and staff support to better understand the health issues in your life or that of a loved one. Our librarians, health educators, staff and volunteers can assist you with access to our print, audiovisual and Internet resources.
