Kessler Library Satellites
Kessler Library satellites are available to patients and their loved ones receiving care on the BWH Tower 3rd, 7th, 14th and 16th floors, CWN-6 (NICU Resource Room) and at the Fish Center for Women's Health at Brigham and Women's Hospital at 850 Boylston Street. Satellites provide many or all of the following resources: educational displays based on National Health Observances, three dimensional learning aids, kiosk computers with Kessler Library Intranet e-resources, pamphlets and collections of reviewed fiction and non-fiction books.
If you or a loved one receives care at any of these satellites, please pay a visit to these centers. Additional Kessler Library satellites are in progress for both on and off-campus locations at Brigham and Women's Hospital.
Partners HealthCare System Resource Centers
The Michele and Howard Kessler Health Education Library at Brigham & Women's Hospital is part of the Partners HealthCare System. Patients and family members may also visit the resource centers at the following facilities to find additional books, magazines, audio and videotapes and online resources beyond the Kessler Library's collection. The centers listed in this section display their resources on the " Magic on the Web" online library catalog.
Dana Farber Cancer Institute Blum Resource Center and SatellitesResources include books, brochures, audio and videotapes, three computer terminals linked to Onco-link and Cancer Net, bulletin board with information about community resources, transportable multi-media unit on breast reconstruction, One-to-One Program providing phone calls to cancer patients, Backpack Program for children and teens whose parents have cancer.
Massachusetts General Hospital Maxwell & Eleanor Blum Patient and Family Learning CenterResources include children's books, consumer health books, medical texts, pamphlets and brochures, consumer magazines, television and VCR with headphones, video library, WMGH-TV (in-house patient education channel), 7 computer workstations, Internet access, CD-ROM programs.
