Health-e-Weight for Women is a collection of health and nutrition resources geared at making life changes in several areas that can contribute to your quality of life: your food, your emotions and feelings about food, and physical activity. You'll recognize that these are all very much related as you look through the site; hopefully you will find both general and specific information that is useful to you in your efforts to improve your lifestyle.
All members of our strong outpatient nutritionist staff are Registered Dietitians (RD, a national credential) and Licensed Dietitians/Nutritionists (LD/N, a state credential). Collectively, the staff has over 100 years of work experience with the clinician average being 17 years. Included within the staff are two Certified Diabetes Educators. In addition, some of our practitioners speak Spanish and can counsel patients accordingly. Aside from individual counseling, we are versed on a wide variety of nutritional topics and can speak to groups of individuals as well. Topics addressed in the past include, but limited to, chronic disease risk reduction or management (e.g. Diabetes, Cardiovascular and Renal Disease), prenatal nutrition, diet strategies for premenstrual syndrome and menopause, Food & Mood, and Popular Diets. We are also visible with on-line writing efforts.
