The Joint Commission. To earn and maintain The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval™, an organization must undergo an on-site survey by a Joint Commission survey team at least every three years. Both the Brigham and Women's and Faulkner Hospital are accredited by The Joint Commission.
Commitment to Excellence. From Dr. Joseph E. Murray, our first chief of Plastic Surgery and recipient of the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine in 1990, to all of our surgeons, we continue to offer the best care for our patients.
Teaching. All of our plastic surgeons are Harvard Medical School faculty members and many are internationally recognized. They all teach residents at Harvard Medical School.
