Brigham and Women’s/Mass General Health Care Center is pleased to offer patients of all ages access to our newly opened Urgent Care Center. This new service, staffed by Brigham and Women’s emergency medicine specialists, provides non-emergency services throughout the day, after-hours, and on Saturdays.
What is an Urgent Care Center? How does it differ from a hospital emergency room? Urgent care generally includes minor illnesses and injuries that do not require treatment at a hospital emergency department. Care is provided on a walk-in basis; appointments are not necessary.
Examples of conditions we can treat include:
- Flu-like symptoms
- Allergies
- Minor trauma, such as a sprain
- Lacerations
- Abdominal pain
- More
Our Urgent Care Center also offers access to diagnostic services, including radiology, and laboratory.
