Graves Receives 2012 C.A.R.E. Award

Lucy Graves, NP, a nurse practitioner in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB/GYN), received the 2012 Wendy Jeffrey-O'Flavin C.A.R.E. Award. This award is given annually to a front-line staff member in Ambulatory OB/GYN who best and most consistently exhibits high levels of Commitment, Attitude, Respect and Empathy in his or her everyday work toward patients, families and staff.
The award is named in honor of Wendy Jeffrey-O'Flavin, an ambulatory secretary in Ambulatory Obstetrics and Gynecology, who lost her battle with cancer in July 2011. Other nominees were Cassandra Bartlett, medical assistant, and Pamela Whitney, RN, a nurse, both from the Center for Infertility and Reproductive Surgery (CIRS); Berhan Bogale, an embryologist; Erin Obillo, an embryologist; Courtney Dolan, a surgical coordinator; and Nancy Falconer, nurse in charge; Nakema Howard, a medical assistant in the Division of Urogynecology; and Olga Pagan, a practice secretary from Gynecological Oncology, all from the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
