Applications being Accepted for 2008-09 Fellowships
BWH is launching a two-year Acute Care Surgery Fellowship: one year of trauma and emergency surgery training based on the AAST curriculum, including rotations in burn care, orthopedics, neurosurgery, and vascular surgery, and a second ACGME-accredited year leading to eligibility for ABS certification in Surgical Critical Care. Applications for two positions will be accepted through April 10, 2008, or until positions are filled.
Year 1: Acute Care Surgery Fellowship (non-ACGME; also available as a one-year fellowship)
Year 2: Surgical Critical Care Fellowship (ACGME-accredited)
BWH is certified as a level I adult trauma center and level I burn center. More than 2,000 adult trauma patients and 1,500 non-trauma emergency surgery patients are managed by the Hospital annually.
