The mission of Brigham/Faulkner Ob/Gyn Associates is to provide the highest quality of primary and secondary obstetric and gynecologic care to patients in the community and to broaden access to the advanced tertiary care facilities at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital when needed. All in-patient obstetrical care in provided at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital.
Brigham/Faulkner Ob/Gyn Associates, P.C. is a comprehensive, general obstetrics and gynecology practice focused on patient care. The practice was founded by Dr. Leonard E. Safon in 1963 and has a long, close association with the Brigham and Women's Hospital and Harvard Medical School.
In 1999, after Brigham and Women's and Faulkner Hospitals merged, the practice moved to its current office at the Faulkner campus. While all the physicians have faculty appointments at Harvard Medical School and strongly support both resident and medical student education, the practice's primary purpose is personalized patient care. All of our patients are attended to by one of the practice's physicians, and we take 100% responsibility for all decisions. Someone from our practice is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
