Our Mission
The Division of Cardiac Surgery at Brigham and Women's Hospital is dedicated to providing the safest, state-of-the-art, highest-quality, and the most innovative surgery for our patients. Our team of physicians, nurses, physician's assistants, and staff work closely with our colleagues in cardiology, vascular surgery, imaging, and nursing to deliver care that is safe, effective and compassionate. The Brigham Cardiac valve center provides expertise in diagnosing and treating all cardiac valve syndromes and disorders, including mitral valve prolapse and aortic regurgitation.
The care we deliver is tailored to the needs and requirements of each individual patient, and is designed to result in the best possible outcomes for the patients we serve. We believe strongly in the education of patients, families, nurses and physicians in training.
We are also dedicated to innovation and research developing new and less invasive cardiac therapies for the people of Massachusetts, the Region, and the World.
