The Vision of the Center for Evidenced-Based Imaging is to enable the practice of Evidence-Based Medicine for imaging to improve quality of care and reduce errors and waste and establish the Center as an international resource and authority in this domain.
The Mission of the Center for Evidenced-Based Imaging focuses on both research and education.
Research Mission
To define, design, and evaluate the impact of interventions to improve appropriate use of medical imaging by reducing its overuse, under-use and misuse, to measure value of IT tools in medical imaging in terms of quality and efficiency and to communicate our findings with the health care community with emphasis on publications in peer reviewed journals.
Educational Mission
To educate trainees through structured fellowship programs to expand our mission and collaborate with other institutions.
