Who Can Apply?
SSJP is offered to 50 high school students from our partnering schools. Students that are accepted are interested in pursuing a science, medicine, research or health career. Students in the program are ambitious, mature, focused and want to learn!
Students don't have to get straight A's in their classes in order to be accepted to SSJP, but they do need to take their academic success very seriously. Being an SSJP student is a big commitment. If a student is involved in sports, school committees and clubs or community activities, he/she might not have enough time to commit to SSJP. Students who apply to the program are encouraged to be realistic about their schedule, academic workload and current activity involvement.
SSJP accecpts students in grades 10-12 from the following schools:
Boston Latin Academy, Community Academy of Science and Health, Health Careers Academy, John D. O'Bryant School of Math and Science, Madison Park Technical and Vocational High School, New Mission High School, and Parkway Academy of Science and Health.
