Important information about cardiac function also can be gained from tests performed in our fully equipped Exercise Testing Laboratory, which provides the following services:
- Routine treadmill tests
- Arm ergometry exercise testing
- Stress echocardiograms
- Indirect oxygen saturation measurements
- Direct measurements of metabolic gas exchange
- Dobutamine infusions with echocardiography
Echocardiograms are performed in the Noninvasive Cardiac Laboratory (also referred to as the "Echo Lab").
Both the Exercise Testing Lab and the Echo Lab are located in Tower 3 at Brigham and Women's Hospital.
