Tests used to evaluate and diagnose patients with an inherited cardiac condition are identical to tests used in evaluation of the condition when it is not genetically based. Patients of the Cardiovascular Genetics Center have access to all the diagnostic services of Brigham and Women’s Hospital including:
• Genetic Screening with clinically-approved DNA-analysis
• Cardiac Imaging
• Echocardiography
• Nuclear cardiology
• Electrophysiology studies (EPS)
• Risk stratification for sudden cardiac death
• Exercise stress test
• Family screening, genetic counseling and testing
• Family screening for HCM
