The Cardiovascular Division provides the full spectrum of ambulatory
and hospital-based care.
Ambulatory Services
The ambulatory suite for the Cardiovascular Center is located on the main floor of the BWH Ambulatory Services Building at 45 Francis Street. Conveniently situated on the main BWH campus, the suite affords easy access to our facilities for exercise testing, echo-cardiography, radiology, CT, MRI, and radionuclide imaging. Cardiovascular specialists are available to see and evaluate new patients within one week of elective referral and within 24 hours for urgent requests. Our specialists work closely with the referring physician to develop a plan for further evaluation and treatment that is best suited to the patient. Physicians, advanced practice nurses, and physician assistants with dedicated expertise in specialized cardiovascular disorders (heart failure, cardiomyopathy, arrhythmia, intra-cardiac devices, valve disease, coronary and peripheral arterial disease, venous thrombo-embolic disease, lipid and metabolic disorders, cardiovascular genetic disorders) work collaboratively in small groups to provide superior care. Cardiac or vascular surgical consultation is available as indicated at the time of the initial visit. BWH cardiovascular physicians also see patients at our Faulkner campus ambulatory offices in Jamaica Plain.
