Dr. Foody works nationally and internationally to prevent cardiac disease and promote cardiac rehabilitation. She has a particular focus on women and heart disease, and her research has focused on identifying and promoting clinical strategies that prevent adverse cardiovascular events in people with and without coronary artery disease.

Dr. Foody is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and the American Heart Association, and is the Chairperson of the Boston Sister to Sister Community Council. She attended the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine, completed her residency at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, and completed her fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation. Dr. Foody regularly contributes to Journal Watch Cardiology as well as several other publications.
