in Who We Are
Dr. Marie Gerhard-Herman is respected for both her experience in using ultrasound to diagnose vascular disease and her pioneering work in identifying peripheral vascular disease in women. She was named one of the region’s top cardiologists in a poll of medical specialists by Boston Magazine. Under her direction, the noninvasive vascular testing laboratory has been cited as a model for multi-departmental collaboration among physicians, vascular surgeons and radiologists.
Dr. Gerhard-Herman received her medical degree from Northeastern Ohio University College of Medicine. She completed a residency in internal medicine at Boston City Hospital and fellowships in cardiovascular disease and medicine from Brigham and Women’s Hospital. She is an editor of the medical textbook Essentials of Vascular Laboratory Diagnosis.
