Community health outreach programs are an important expression of our mission. From reducing disparities in infant mortality, cancer, and chronic diseases, to keeping young people healthy, we work with neighborhood groups, schools, and organizations to address social, economic, educational, and health needs. Programs include: the Birth Equity Initiative and the Perinatal Case Management Program, both focused on infant mortality; Passageway, a domestic violence program; Connecting Hope, Assistance, and Treatment Program, which offers financial support to women with breast cancer; and youth programs such as the Student Success Jobs Program, the Summer Science Academy, Health and Science Clubs, and the Pen Pal Program.
