Rajesh Garg, M.D.

Dr. Garg is studying the methods to improve treatment of hyperglycemia in hospitalized patients.  He has several research projects to evaluate factors predicting hyperglycemia and hypoglycemia and ways to improve glycemic  control in hospitalized patients.  Dr. Garg is also interested in research on the cardiovascular complications of insulin resistance and type 2 diabetes.  His current research projects include 1) Effect of subcutaneous insulin glargine on requirement for intravenous insulin infusion in a cardiac surgery intensive care unit, 2) Glycemic control in hospitalized patients, 3) Role of mineralocorticoid receptor in obesity induced cardiovascular disease.
