Kathleen Gallivan is the Director of the Chaplaincy Services Department at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. She is a Roman Catholic Sister and member of the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur. Kathleen holds a Ph.D. in Pastoral Psychology from Boston University. She is Board Certified by the Association of Professional Chaplains, the Association of Clinical Pastoral Education and the National Association of Catholic Chaplains (NACC). She is also a Fellow in the American Association of Pastoral Counselors and is a licensed psychologist in the state of Massachusetts.
In addition to her work as department director, Kathleen supervises Clinical Pastoral Education students and serves on several hospital committees including the hospital’s Organ Donation, the Neonatal Bereavement Team and the Staff Support/Critical Incident Response Task Force.
