Anesthesiology
Our Anesthesiology Program provides clinical anesthesia services for day surgery. Emphasis is placed on ensuring patient safety while providing anesthetic care appropriate for the outpatient setting. This includes using short-acting medications, preventing anesthetic side effects, and providing effective pain control before discharge.
Cardiac Surgery Consults
Our cardiac surgeons work closely with colleagues in cardiology, imaging, and nursing to provide complete management of pre-surgical and post-operative care for conditions including:
valvular heart disease;
coronary artery disease;
thoracic aortic aneurysm/dissection;
surgical treatment for arrhythmia;
heart failure;
congenital and inherited cardiac disorders.
Patients requiring surgical intervention will have full access to the new Carl J. and Ruth Shapiro Cardiovascular Center at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston.
Cardiology
Cardiovascular medicine specialists provide full consultative services in every area of adult cardiovascular disease with non-invasive diagnostic services available at the Center. Tests include:
transthoracic echocardiography;
holter monitoring;
ECG;
vascular imaging;
exercise tolerance testing;
exercise stress echocardiography.
Patients who require invasive diagnostic and therapeutic procedures will have full access via their cardiovascular specialist to the entire array of cardiac services at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, with both sites sharing the same information system enabling testing performed at one site to be accessible at the other.
Dermatology
Our Dermatology program provides full-service medical and procedural dermatologic care. These services involve the evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of skin conditions and laser and cosmetic services. Treatment methods used by our dermatologists include both medical and surgical procedures.
Gastroenterology
Gastroenterology provides a full range of services for adult and adolescent patients age 15 and over with disorders of the gastrointestinal tract, pancreas, biliary tree and liver. Specialists provide care for pancreatic disease, biliary disease, liver disease, inflammatory bowel disease and GI oncology evaluation.
General and Colorectal Surgery
General and Colorectal Surgery provides comprehensive diagnosis, management and follow-up of surgical disorders of the gastrointestinal tract. Services include treatment of:
gallstones and other biliary, pancreatic and liver disorders;
management of inflammatory bowel disease;
surgical diseases of the endocrine system, esophagus, stomach, small and large intestines, anorectal diseases and hernias.
Infertility Services
Reproductive specialists offer fertility consultation, evaluation, and surgical procedures to address a full range of reproductive barriers. Our specialists in Foxborough provide ambulatory appointments associated with:
ovulation induction;
therapeutic donor insemination;
assisted reproductive technologies – in vitro fertilization (IVF), intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI), testicular biopsy/sperm freezing, cryopreservation of sperm and embryos, and preimplantation genetic diagnosis (PGD);
minimally invasive surgery;
advanced non-surgical therapies for uterine fibroids and endometriosis;
fertility therapy for cancer patients and survivors;
evaluation and treatment of recurrent pregnancy loss;

Neurology
Neurology provides consultative, evaluation, and management services for patients with neurologic complications including: epilepsy, seizure-related disorders, and headache. In addition, we offer nerve conduction and EMG testing for patients with suspected neuromuscular disorders including: peripheral neuropathy, carpal tunnel syndrome, nerve root problems, myasthenia gravis, ALS, and muscular dystrophy.
Neurosurgery Consults
Neurosurgery works closely with each patient’s referring physician as well as with a multidisciplinary team of specialists from neurology, medical oncology, radiology, orthopedics, rehabilitative medicine, and other disciplines, to evaluate each case and provide complete management of pre-surgical and post-operative care for conditions including:
benign and malignant brain tumors;
cerebrovascular diseases;
movement disorders and epilepsy;
vascular abnormalities;
degenerative spine disease;
other related brain and spinal disorders.

Our Pain Management program provides evaluation and treatment of patients with a wide range of acute, chronic and cancer-related painful conditions.

Physicians from MassGeneral Hospital for Children offer specialty care for infants, children and adolescents. Specialists now provide consultations at the Center for endocrinology, gastroenterology, and pulmonology.
Physiatry
Our Physiatry program focuses on returning patients to their full functional potential as quickly as possible. Services include diagnosis, non-surgical management and care of those with athletic injuries and general musculoskeletal disorders, a full spectrum of non-surgical spine care including interventional spine procedures, alternative therapies such as medical acupuncture, and electrodiagnostic medicine consultations.
Plastic Surgery
Our Plastic Surgery program provides a full range of adult services for patients with conditions of a congenital, neoplastic, traumatic or aesthetic nature. Services include:

Rehabilitation Services
Rehabilitation Services, comprised of Mass General physicaltherapists, physical therapist assistants, occupational therapists, nurses, and athletic trainers, is committed to working closely with patients to return them to the highest level of activity possible after injury or illness. The Rehabilitation Service will develop collaborative programs with physicians who practice at the Center for areas of identified patient need. Our program includes:

Renal Medicine
Renal Medicine provides comprehensive care in the treatment of kidney-related diagnoses such as hypertension, inherited kidney diseases, kidney stones, nephritis, vasculitis and kidney failure. Patients who require interventional procedures for vascular access or evaluation for transplantation will have access via a referral from the on-site nephrologist to the renowned kidney program at Brigham and Women’s Hospital.
Rheumatology
Our Rheumatology program provides diagnosis, treatment, and multidisciplinary management of arthritis and related rheumatic disorders. These include:
