A service for women with complex medical needs provided by the General Gynecology Practice at the Brigham and Women's Hospital.
Mission:The Contraception Consult Service provides evaluations for women with significant chronic medical issues. Pregnancy prevention is often essential for these women, but contraception planning may be overshadowed or complicated by their medical demands. Our goal is the prevent unintended pregnancies in this population.
Who will benefit from service? HRC Consultations are intended for women whose health care is dominated by major medical issues. These women may receive the majority of their care from cardiologists, oncologists, hematologists, rheumatologists or other sub specialists without our hospital system.
