Fleet Prep Kit #3 (48-Hour Prep)

The Fleet Kit # 3 can be purchased at any pharmacy, without a prescription, and contains everything needed for your preparation.Please perform sitz baths or tub baths twice each day as well as after each bowel movement (10-15 minute soak in warm water). You may do this more frequently for cleanliness or if they help relieve discomfort.

Two Days Prior to your Procedure
At bedtime, take two (2) Fleet Bisacodyl tablets. Swallow the tablets whole with a full glass of water. Do not chew or dissolve the tablets. Take only 2 tablets unless otherwise directed by your physician.

The Day Prior to your Procedure
8:00 a.m. Clear liquids only for breakfast and for the remainder of the day. Clear liquids consist of water, apple juice, black tea, black coffee, gingerale, bouillon, broth, gelatin (i.e. Jell-O – not red), and Popsicles (not red). No solids or dairy products. Anything not appearing on this list is not allowable and, if taken, may lead to the cancellation of your procedure (except where indicated below at 12:30 p.m.).

9:00 a.m.		Consume at least 8 oz. of clear liquids
10:00 a.m.		Consume at least 8 oz. of clear liquids.
11:00 a.m.		Consume at least 8 oz. of clear liquids.
12:30 p.m.		Drink Fleet Phospho Soda. Pour contents (1-1/2 oz.) into a glass of cool, clear liquid. Drink this and follow immediately with one full glass of water. (For purposes of mixing with Phospho Soda only, tomato juice, orange juice, or soft drinks are allowable at this time only). After consuming Fleet Phospho Soda, you may have more clear liquids as listed above.
2:00 p.m.		Consume at least 8 oz. of clear liquids.
3:00 p.m.		Consume at least 8 oz. of clear liquids.
4:00 p.m.		Consume at least 8 oz. of clear liquids.
5:00 p.m.		Consume at least 8 oz. of clear liquids.
Bedtime		Take the remaining 2 Fleet Bisacodyl tablets as instructed above.

On the Day of Your Procedure
DO NOT EAT OR DRINK ANYTHING BEGINNING AT 12:00 MIDNIGHT. Talk to your physician about taking medications.

In the morning: Take the Fleet Bisacodyl enema. Shake bottle well before using. Remove protective shield from rectal tip. Lie on your left side or in a "knees-to-chest" position. Insert the enema tip, pointing it toward your navel. Squeeze the bottle until nearly all liquid is expelled. Wait 15 minutes before evacuating, even if the urge is strong.
