Brigham and Women’s Midwifery Group was established nearly 30 years ago as one of the first midwifery practices in Massachusetts. Our mission is to provide culturally sensitive full-scope midwifery care to an ethnically and socioeconomically diverse population of women.
We support each person’s right to active participation in health-care decision-making. We are an integral part of the health care system of The Mary Horrigan Connors Center for Women’s Health. Our practice is actively committed to the education of students in the disciplines of midwifery, medicine and nursing.
A hallmark of our practice is the provision of community-based accessible care to Boston’s neighborhoods. We provide continuity of care at ten distinct community health centers in six of Boston's neighborhoods:

In collaboration with physician staff from the health centers, along with resident and attending physicians from the OB/GYN Department, we provide expert obstetric and gynecologic care to a broad range of women of all ages. We are able to offer prenatal care in English, Spanish and French.
