ACGME Accredited Clinical Neurophysiology and Epilepsy Fellowships
The Brigham and Women’s Hospital (BWH) sponsors a fellowship in clinical epilepsy and EEG. The first year leads to ACGME accredited training in Clinical Neurophysiology, and is affiliated with our partner institutions. Candidates are encouraged to remain for a second year focused on epilepsy, with a mentored research project that can lead to funded research.
Edward Bromfield, M.D. is the chief of the Division of Epilepsy, EEG and Sleep; whileBarbara Dworetzky, M.D.is assistant chief and director of ourClinical Neurophysiology and Epilepsy Fellowship witha major focuson EEG, with a minor focus in sleep;evoked potentials are also included. Those candidates primarily interested in EMG can contact Dr. Anthony Amato, who directs the Neuromuscular/EMG accredited program.
Interested Applicants
Applicants interested in applying for the ACGME Clinical Neurophysiology program must be board certified or eligible in Neurology or Child Neurology, and should send a letter describing their career goals and a curriculum vita, with three letters of reference to Director, Barbara Dworetzky, M.D., BWH Neurology, 75 Francis Street, Boston, MA 02115.
*All foreign medical students must take the USMLE Step III one year prior to matriculation.
