Residency and Fellowship in Nuclear Medicine
The Division of Nuclear Medicine at Brigham and Women’s Hospital participates in the Harvard Medical School Joint Program in Nuclear Medicine (JPNM) residency and fellowship training program.
Each year, six two-year ACGME-accredited Nuclear Medicine residency positions are funded. Trainees rotate through several Harvard-affiliated hospitals in the Boston area (Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Children’s Hospital, Dana Farber Cancer Institute, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Veterans Administration and Massachusetts General Hospital), gaining experience in General Nuclear Medicine, Nuclear Cardiology, Pediatrics, Nuclear Oncology, and Nuclear Neurology. In addition to the clinical schedule, residents attend several tutorials and didactic sessions over the course of the year. Combined clinical and research conferences are held weekly.
The program has been approved for certification by the American Board of Nuclear Medicine.
