Cardiovascular disease is the number one cause of death in America, claiming the lives of over 37 percent of Americans who die each year, according to the American Heart Association.
But what is most surprising about that statistic is: We know what causes cardiovascular disease and we know how to prevent it. And once a person is diagnosed with cardiovascular disease, we know how to treat it. But too often confusion, misunderstanding, or delayed treatment lead to worsening of the disease or even death.
