Welcome to ACCSS at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital (BWH). This collaboration between the Cartilage Repair Center, the Shoulder Service, and the Sports Medicine Service is the first of its kind in New England. Our staff is experienced in the treatment of sports and shoulder injuries as well as cartilage injuries, joint preservation, and total joint replacements to the shoulder, knee, and hip.
Whether you have been recently injured or have dealt with your pain for a long time, the physicians at ACCSS will take the time to evaluate your injuries and explain your treatment options. Not every injury requires surgery and we have many non-surgical treatment options for you.

For your convenience we see patients at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston as well as at 850 Boylston Street (Route 9) in Chestnut Hill. Both locations offer state-of-the-art imaging, rehabilitation, lab services, and many other outpatient services such as Women’s Health, alternative medicine, and Pain Management. On site parking is available at both locations and we offer a shuttle service between locations.
Surgical procedures are performed at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital, the Faulkner Hospital and an outpatient surgical center conveniently located in Waltham.
