Mitchel Harris, MD
Dr. Harris is an Associate Professor in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital (BWH). He is Board Certified in Orthopedic Surgery and has completed his re-certification. He is the Chief of the BWH Orthopedic Trauma Service. He completed his residency at the Dartmouth/Hitchcock Medical Center. He treats orthopedic trauma injuries and spine related conditions both traumatic and non-traumatic in origin. His referral trauma practice includes peri-articular injuries as well as nonunions. Dr. Harris’ spinal practice encompasses degenerative, traumatic and tumour conditions of the spine. He performs cervical, thoracic and lumbar procedures including fusions, decompressions, and reconstructions.
Dr. Harris completed two Fellowships:
- In Trauma and Spinal Surgery in the Department Orthopedic Surgery at the University of Toronto Sunnybrook Medical Center, Toronto, Canada
- In Trauma and Adult Spine Surgery at Queen’s Medical Center, Nottingham, UK..
