Outpatient Pharmacy Services
The Outpatient Pharmacy is open and staffed by licensed pharmacists during clinic hours to meet the demands of patients who wish to have their prescriptions filled or refilled around the time of their clinic visit. All patients who have their prescriptions filled at the Outpatient Pharmacy are offered counseling about their medications by a pharmacist, which is consistent with Federal regulations enacted under the Omnibus Budget Reduction Act of 1990 (OBRA 90). The department monitors patient wait time in the Outpatient Pharmacy among its other quality indicators, since wait time is highly correlated with the patient satisfaction.
